Structural Engineers (3 positions)

Structural Lead Engineer BS in Civil engineering with 10-15 plus years of experience with structural design Prepares design layouts and detail drawings, changes to existing drawings, change notices, instruction sheets and assists in checking accuracy of model shop Standardizes materials, components and assemblies in a manner to minimize the number of different items required to be procured or manufactured to produce such products or devices to the maximum extent possible consistent with satisfactory product design and performance. Plans detail objectives; prepares or supervises preparation of necessary sketches, layouts, and other specifications; obtains models and necessary samples, and requests testing and analysis of materials, models, principles, and other elements related to product design and development of structural related components. Reviews results (after release of new or changed products for production or to Client) to determine that such products perform in the intended manner; assists Manufacturing Operations personnel in resolving initial production problems. Assures that product designs, components and materials meet all applicable industry / client standards and codes. Maintains accurate drawings and changes in a timely manner. Advises appropriate personnel of the latest technical and engineering changes to projects. Prepares and correlates short and long term engineering plans and programs for design, construction or alteration of activities. Coordinates the creation, development, design and improvement of Structural Design in conformance with established programs and objectives. 3 to 10 years experience in hands-on analysis work Can run usual structural analysis software (Strucad or SACS preferred, STAAD or similar acceptable) Strong plus for someone also qualified in FEA software, particularly ANSYS Knowledge on offshore structures and topsides module structures Extensive Knowledge of AISC Code for member sizing and bolted or welded connections A plus for API, DNV, ABS code experience Able to work with drafting crew to execute design drawings Project Management or Project Engineer a plus, however majority of work will require hands on strong analytical capability




Junior Structural Engineer

1-5 yrs experience.  At this level of experience we expect high familiarity and speed when using with analysis software.  This person will start as a junior engineer executing calculations and getting familiar with our current projects.  After the necessary knowledge has been gained then it will quickly grow into a responsible position as a project engineer.  MUST have VERY GOOD English communication skill.  MUST be a good organizer.  Must be able to build on experience.  Must be familiar (or be willing to be involved) with the full engineering cycle, e.g. engineering sketches, engineering calculations, concept design, drafting, engineering Q/A, approved for construction documents, construction support, as-built.



Junior Supervisory Structural Engineer

5-15 yrs experience.  All of the above but this is a spot for a junior supervisory position.  We are looking for a young structural engineer who is ready for the jump to supervision.  Candidate MUST have lead a team of 3 or more engineers in the past.  Should be able to create schedules, keep personnel focus on project goals, maintain project interfaces, familiar with constructability issues as related to structural designs and fabrication.  We need a well rounded guy that is currently a lead on single project but is ready to take on supervisory responsibility on multi project environment.
