MECS, Inc. is a world renowned company that specializes in Chemical Process Technology and Proprietary Products.  We are currently seeking a Sr. Strategy Analyst in our corporate Strategy and Business Development group.  This position holds potential for excellent growth opportunities and is based in St. Louis, MO.

 

This position will play a key role in Company’s strategic planning and M&A activities.  The Strategy and Business Development group is looking for an outstanding, self-motivated individual to perform a broad range of functions with a primary focus on performing strategic and market-based analysis, identifying new business opportunities, and assisting in M&A implementation.

 

Responsibilities:Investigate & research new business opportunities & marketsHelp drive strategic, cross-functional projects Analyze potential M&A opportunities Analyze market potential for new products including: demand, supply, market dynamics & drivers, value chain structures and regional & global competitiveness.

Requirements:Must have a Bachelors Degree (MBA strongly preferred), and at least three years experience from a top-tier consulting firm or investment bank.  Will also consider at least three years experience in the right Corporate Strategy group.  Experience in any of the fields of engineered products, manufacturing, chemical process technology is preferred. Ability to conduct structured strategic analysis (structuring issues and analyzing alternative solutions)Be able to quickly establish credibility, trust and respect throughout the organization and be comfortable interacting with all levels of the Company. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Solid team player high-energy and self-starter The ability to work with teams or alone while delivering results to deadlines.Willingness to travel periodicallyStrong quantitative and qualitative analytical ability including: the ability to collect, screen and analyze data to develop an appropriate value proposition of the opportunity.
