Sr. Messaging Systems Subject Matter Expert

Position Overview:
· The position will provide the subject Matter Expertise for the design, implementation and operational support for all messaging and collaboration services across Momentive.
· The role will include providing guidance and direction for junior technical personnel as well as third party support providers.
· Interacting with application support teams as well as other Global Infrastructure functional areas will be critical.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
· Responsible for working with messaging lead for the strategic and operational direction of corporate e-mail systems, including Exchange and its associated programs.
· Provide operational management and design for the corporate Active Directory environment
· Participate in evaluation, recommendation and implementation of new messaging and collaboration systems, as required.
· Support corporate audio and data conferencing solutions (WebEx and Verizon Audio)
· 7x24 support of all escalated problems relating to the messaging architecture


Required Education and Professional Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· MCSE or Microsoft Exchange certification

Required Work Experience:
· Minimum 5 years supporting global MS Exchange and Active Directory environments
· Experience in working with distributed client and support orgarnizations, including Europe and Asia

Required Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge:
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory 2003
· Strong proficiency in Lotus Sametime
· Ironport or other mail scanning devices
· Excellent interpersonal skills - proven ability to communicate well across organizations and with internal & external constituencies.
· Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Able to manage activities with tight deadlines and in urgent situations.
· Ability to communicate a technical vision in a way that is clear to non-technical people.
· Self-motivated, high energy and enthusiastic on building a new support structure.
· Able to respond on off hours to unexpected needs.
