Senior Electrical Engineer, I&C (Midstream)– Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas (TX)

Summary:

This position is responsible for the electrical and instrumentation engineering support for the local plant & field capital projects. The incumbent guides, reviews, and approves discipline elements to ensure that all the Federal, Local and industry standards are followed.

Job Description:

• Reviews all electrical & instrumentation and control standards, specifications and cost estimates in the project execution and control plan.
• Participates in the preparation of electrical project scope and estimates including technical work required for conceptual studies, cost estimates for economic analysis and design basis for detailed engineering studies.
• Manages all the electrical project engineering, procurement and construction process.
• Represent 's interests in Hazard Reviews and Safety Integrity Level Assessment to assure compliance to codes, company objectives, and policy.
• Monitors the performance of the electrical, instrumentation and control system contractors and design team.
• Participates in the development of operation, maintenance and start-up philosophies, assists in the planning for commissioning and start-up.
• Review and approve engineering specifications, models, drawings and calculations related to the automation scope of supply.
• Determine quality assurance requirements for electrical, instrumentation and control system equipment
• Provide liaison and coordination to other project team members and contractors to ensure consistent application of technology.
• Provide technical oversight for engineering design, scope development, cost estimating, development of equipment specifications, start-up, and commissioning of natural gas processing facilities.
• Leads the owner participation in loop checkout and commissioning, witnessing tests for instrument loops and packaged equipment control systems
• Supports operator and maintenance training including transfer of ownership of systems, spares, and documentation from project to operations.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in design, commissioning and startup of instrumentation and control systems, preferably within the oil & gas / refinery / drilling / petrochemical industry
• Training and experience in application of all electrical systems and codes
• BS in Electrical Engineering
