Senior Service Application Engineer

Senior Service Application Engineer
SCOPE:
A senior field based position that provides assigned customers and projects with technical expertise on Invensys systems, equipment, instrumentation and applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Use existing tools and process to develop applications to new systems
• Provide on site Engineering support to improve existing applications or implementations
• Maintain, repair and configure Invensys products to ensure system is functioning according to specifications
• Provide customer with installation and start up assistance
• Provide operational training on Invensys products and applications
• Provide technical consultations on areas of expertise with Invensys products
• Provide technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations
• Assists customers in defining detailed applications, system and hardware requirements
• Prepares detailed hardware/software specifications on company products and develops detailed engineering estimates for potential projects
• Provides technical leadership during customer acceptance tests
• Estimating risk analysis of potential projects or customer upgrades
• Develops solutions for complex hardware/software or application client issues
The selected candidate will have the ability to:
• Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across multiple functional areas, internally and externally
• Work with minimal day to day supervision
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Technology; Computer, Electrical, Chemical preferred
Three plus years of industry experience; applying, testing and troubleshooting complex software / hardware system problems.
Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Process Control knowledge is a critical asset
Another asset would be exposure to following systems: I/A, Eurotherm, Wonderware, Batch, SCADA, Networks, Unix, XP, Field Bus, PLC’s
