Senior Reservoir Engineer
Senior Reservoir Engineer – Houston, Texas (TX)
Summary:
Reservoir engineer working in our Gulf Coast Exploitation team in the Southern Division.
Job Description:
• Work on an integrated team of geologists and production engineers to identify drilling, recompletion and workover projects.
• Determine reserve estimates; generate project economics and AFE proposals.
• Generate and execute the annual budget. Maintain reserve and production forecasts.
• Work with the company's independent reserve auditors, so knowledge of SEC reserve guidelines is required.
• Interact with other departments within the organization, such as drilling and production engineering, geosciences, land and accounting.
• Must be results driven with the ability to lead and generate ideas.
• Must be willing to mentor younger engineers.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably petroleum engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in reservoir and operations engineering.
• Gulf Coast experience with tight gas reservoirs preferable.
• Must be knowledgeable of various methods of reserve determination, such as volumetric, material balance and decline curve techniques.
• Experience in technical analysis software packages such as nodal analysis, pressure transient analysis or reservoir simulation would be beneficial.
• Must have vast understanding of petroleum economics and experience using PEEP economics software.
