The responsibilities of a Senior O & M Specialist include, but are not limited to:- Promotes efficient and cost effective site maintenance and operations by providing ongoing assessment of personnel and respective staffing levels- Establishes and coordinates maintenance work schedule by fully understanding scope of work and leading scheduling meetings with operations personnel and maintenance supervision- Prepares project reports and detailed estimates by identifying activities, status and performance- Maintains technical knowledge by keeping current on applicable scheduling systems and their fullcapabilities- Ensure proper usage of maintenance systems and programs by conducting training classes for client personnel- Develops business opportunities by performing plant operations and maintenance consulting services and for leading application study effort- Ensures effective application of all tools, techniques and programs by maintaining strategicmaintenance programs, including reliability programs, preventative and predictive maintenance andcomputerized maintenance management systems- As directed by O&M manager, fulfills contract and OSR/OSIP requirements by ensuring that the duties and responsibilities of the project contract are clearly defined, documented and followed by the Fluor team- Achieves business goals by hiring qualified candidates, communicating job expectations; approving performance appraisals; conducting salary administration, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees- Enhances skills, performance and development of all employees by sponsoring and promoting training programs so that adherence to specifications is ensured and work of the highest quality prevails- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing established projectprocedures relating to safety, work permitting and work order systems; adhering to legal requirements- Performs other duties as assignedQualificationsThe preferred candidate should have:- 5 to 7 years of experience in operations, maintenance and/or applied home office experience- Typically degreed(Engineering/Business) or equivalent work experience- Expert in at least one area of plant operations and/or maintenance technologyFluor values the contributions of a diverse and inclusive workforce and is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
