Senior Manager, Materials Management-Procurement & SCM (US)

Description:The North America Gas Strategic Performance Unit (SPU) in the Exploration and Production Segment is a key part of BPs backbone in terms of delivering profit and cash. The SPU is an exciting place to work with over $4 billion of spend per annum and an annual drilling program of almost 500 wells per year. It has 5 performance units, Canada, Wyoming, Southern, MidCon and San Juan, with an aggregated production of more than 400 mboed. Procurement & Supply Chain Management (PSCM) is responsible for working within the Performance Units (PUs) and other functional groups to maximize value delivered from expenditures with third parties and managing the end to end procurement process. Materials Management is deeply integrated within NAG operations and forms a critical role in ensuring delivery of safe, reliable production whilst leveraging scale and managing value. A major element of PSCM's scope is to set the strategic and business direction for NAGs Materials Management activities (MM). MM covers all supply chain management aspects of equipment and material needs, through specifying and delivering technical integrity, constructing efficient physical supply chain and logistics infrastructure, handling, storage and delivery, including optimization of working capital, to point of end use. Postholder will significantly enhance MM value delivery to the business and position BP at the forefront of MM performance within the industry.Qualifications:To be considered for the role of Senior Manager, Materials Management applicants must have:- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer. - Ability to travel domestically and internationally for at least 25% of the role - Minimum of 10 years experience in Procurement and Supply Chain roles, including in senior Materials Management leadership positions. - Track record of leadership in transforming the MM in major corporations and delivering significant business improvement - Skilled at developing and working with and through multi-disciplinary teams - Strong influencing and communication skills - Strong business analysis and supply chain optimization skills - In-depth knowledge of specialist third party MM supply market - Strong HSE, quality and risk management leadership skills - Experience of working in variety of regions, cultures, marketplaces, regulatory environments, etc.- Strong working knowledge of COPAS accounting rules and with maintenance and materials management control systemsSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Houston, TXJob Number: RUSABP2249-616747Company Profile:Our business is the exploration, production, refining, trading and distribution of energy. BP E&P Global Procurement & Supply Chain Management (PSCM) is responsible for working with Strategic Performance Units (SPUs) and other functional groups to maximize value delivered from expenditures with third parties. PSCM provides procurement and supply chain management for oil and natural gas exploration, development and production and related transportation and processing activities. The PSCM function is envisioned as a key lever to provide a significant contribution to BP's bottom line and is in the midst of implementing a new Strategy to enable BP to meet its targets on cash costs, capital expenditures and production.
