Huntsman currently has an immediate opening for a Senior Industrial Hygienist in our Environmental Health & Safety Group located at our Huntsman Advanced Technology Center in The Woodlands, Texas.  This position requires a self-starting industrial hygiene professional that is experienced in Industrial Hygiene program implementation, field monitoring techniques, and OSHA industrial hygiene-related regulations.

 

The Industrial Hygiene group works to ensure Huntsman personnel handle materials safely in our facilities, and helps to maintain safe working environments.  This is accomplished via process reviews, ergonomic audits, training sessions, workplace monitoring, etc.  This work could occur across all America’s facilities and across all business sectors.

 

Key AccountabilitiesProvide basic industrial hygiene support to internal chemical manufacturing units and external customersWork under the general direction of the Industrial Hygiene Team Leader with the Americas Industrial Hygiene Center of Excellence groupThe industrial Hygiene group ensures that our products are handled safely by our customers and site workers.  This is achieved via process reviews, consultations, guideline and procedure development, training sessions, and workplace monitoringDeliver effective presentations to ensure our customers are aware of hazards associated with our products, and the means to control the hazards

 

Education and Work Experience RequirementsMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene or other relevant technical degreeMaster’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or other relevant degree is a plus7+ years of relevant experience.  Chemical or Petrochemical background strongly preferred

 

 

Special Qualifications (Training, Technical Skills, etc)Significant travel may be required (30-40%) to perform the duties associated with the position.  Travel is likely to be within the U.S. region, although some international travel is also possible.Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.
