Senior Cost Engineer

A petroleum company in the Costa Mesa area is in need of a Senior Level Cost Engineer.

This individual will work on multiple projects and on large projects/programs. Responsibilities will include:Forecasting and recommending corrective actions in a timely manner and facilitating resolution of cost related issues.Contributing to the development of new techniques and standards; developing processes that require innovation and ingenuity; and independently applying advanced techniques and analysis.Supervising and developing estimates for assigned projects providing consistent application of all standards.Coordinating requirements with Project Managers; maintaining coordination of activities; and implementing specific control procedures.Performing other duties as required.This position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision and to utilize considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Candidates must have a BS degree in a petrochemical engineering discipline and a minimum of seven to ten years of related experience. An MS is a plus.

This is a long term, contract position that will last six to twelve months. Pay is commensurate with experience.
