Yoh Engineering has a direct hire opening for a Senior Construction Manager in Philadelphia, PA.Job Description: • This position manages the field construction of major capital projects, executing the work in a zero accident/incident environment. • The project level assigned to this position are large and complex new facility and/or unit revamp construction projects. • Projects managed can in some cases represent a major portion of a facility’s capital project spending. • Enforces compliance with all HES regulations and requirements. • Manages construction schedules, craft productivity, and costs to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. • Manages quality programs to minimize rework and non-conformances. • Implements construction procedures for assigned projects including front end constructability reviews. • Assists in leading improvement initiatives for construction.Requirements: • BS in Engineering or equivalent work experience and 8-15 years of experience in construction, turnaround, and/or project management with experience as construction manager on large and complex industrial projects. • Experience in bidding, negotiating, and executing major contracts. • Complete understanding of construction management procedures (safety programs, cost control, change management systems, earned value system, planning and scheduling, QAQC, constructability reviews). • Ability to lead and manage large construction field execution teams and manage multiple projects and priorities. • Requires strong interpersonal skills, technical savvy, and conflict management skills. Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience: • Construction/turnaround management experience on projects in refinery or petrochemical facilities. • Working knowledge of project, construction, engineering, and turnaround procedures and industry standards. Special Considerations: • Construction assignments can involve travel, living away from home for long periods of time, shift changes and/or extended hours.
