As part of the site accounting team, this position will provide financial reporting and analysis in support of operations at Waynesboro, VA, identify and challenge activities that detract from Operations profitability, ensure operations accounting activities are accurate and consistent with company standards. The Senior Cost Analyst forecasts and monitors actual versus targeted expenditures, analyses product cost, as part of the Site Financial Reports, and provides further cost analyses, as requested, to support leadership decision making and other functional area activities. Furthermore they Works closely with the Operations Leadership, Corporate Finance, Site Leadership teams, and Information Technology teams.Responsibilities: • Coordinate the monthly analysis of Inventory and related accounting results for INVISTA's US Operations • Work closely with INVISTA's plant accountants and business analysts to ensure accurate and meaningful product costing results through SAP material ledger accounting• Develop, initiate, coordinate and execute appropriate improvements for INVISTA's product costing process including improvements to the SAP accounting process • Provide process support and consultation for Product Costing Accountant Qualifications and Education Required: • BS degree in Accounting with 4-7 years of corporate accounting experience• Previous product costing experience • Previous experience with SAP or Cost Accounting• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Qualifications and Education Preferred: • MS degree in Accounting • Specific experience with SAP Material Ledger • Certified Public Accountant • Supervisory or project leadership experience We are an equal opportunity employer.
