SR. CIVIL ENGINEER
Description of Duties/Responsibilities:Ensure that project work fulfills and meets client expectations. Development of innovative engineering solutions to meet plant operating needs and addressing engineering challenges in the petroleum refining and petrochemical industries. Presentation of design ideas and solutions to technical staff and management at client locations. Preparation of engineering drawings. Completion of cost estimates. Development of project schedules. Direct and coordinate activities of the project team to complete design work on time and within budget. Teach, communicate, and demonstrate through personal actions, the importance of safety at all times. Capable of overseeing the execution of projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $30 million. Be a key contributor in helping company build its Petroleum and Petrochemicals business.
Position Qualifications:Degreed Registered Professional Civil Engineer required. Minimum 10+ years experience required, preferably in refineries and chemical plants. Willing to travel to project sites as required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Previous experience in executing design projects for petroleum refineries and chemical plants. Previous work experience in leading a multi-discipline project team ensuring that respective discipline work is accomplished according to schedule. Independently capable of developing innovative designs/solutions to address plant civil engineering related needs. Computer literacy including Word, Excel and industry related design programs.
