SHIFT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

JOIN A SOLID GROWING INDUSTRY IN THE DISTRIBUTION OF FINE CHEMICALS ON THE PACIFIC COAST AND OFFSHORE, LOCATED IN THE OAKLAND/EAST BAY AREA. MUST HAVE PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR EXPERIENCE WITH 4-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH AN INDUSTRIAL INDUSTRY FACILITY. BASE SALARY OF $55-$60K PLUS PROFIT SHARING, 401K, FULL MEDICAL COVERAGE. PREFER LOCAL CANDIDATES NOW RESIDING IN THE NO. CA. BAY AREA.




JOB DESCRIPTION:

Will be responsible for the following:Cleaning and preparation of pure, mixed, liquefied and purified gases using IPC production scheduling.The process equipment, raw materials, and labor required for production of these products.The training of quality, safe personnel for production and cylinder cleaning/draining.  Schedules work hours for all personnel in the Production functional group.The safe operation and shutdown of production, shipping, receiving and purification gas processes, cylinder cleaning and the chemical monitoring system in the facility.Prevention of material spills through preventative maintenance, work instructions and training.The evaluation, investigation, and corrective actions for quality and safety incidents/issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in plant facilities operations, preferably from an industrial operating company.Must have a college degree or equivalent work experience.Must have good compujter skills (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite).Must have excellent communication skills.Must be open to shift work as this is a 24-7 day operation.The position requires excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to solve problems and resolve any conflicts that arise.Must have knowledge of application CFR, OSHA and dot regulation.
