Regional IT Coordinator
Description:
Under the direction of the Baltimore Area Commander, implements the approved stratebic plan of IT for all units under the Baltmore Area Command (BAC). Provides technical assistance and support to the BAC units in order to maintain optimal operating level of all computer systems; installs, maintains, and troubleshoots operating systerms and applications; travels throughout the BAC region to survey site locations in order to determine the most appropriate computer equipment and method of installation or to ensuring compliance with approved territorial IT policies, strategies, and procedures. Serves as liaison to outside vendors on behalf of the BAC units ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. Maintains and supports all telephone systems and document management systems, including copiers and facsimile machines.
Required Experience:
Two years' experience performing computer repair work with some experience performing individual and class room training of computer applications prefered, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Required Education:
Two-year degree from a technical or vocational school in electronics, computer repair or a related field.
Additional Comments:
Valid State Driver's license required.
