Refinery Capital Project Manager

Description One of the leading, international energy companies is seeking to fill the position of Capital Project Manager in its San Francisco Bay Area Refinery.  Numerous capital projects in the range of $5 million to $50 million are planned.  Project managers are needed for capital project development and execution, including engineering, construction and commissioning.  If you are qualified and would like to advance your career with a dynamic company, please e-mail your resume in MS Word or Adobe pdf format to the address below. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead project framing, alternative development and selection, project development and execution, and post-project evaluation; Manage the safe and incident-free planning and execution of assigned projects; Manage cost and scheduling of projects, including accurate forecasting; Develop staffing plans for the project; Manage contract and purchase order process; Lead all engineering, procurement, construction and start-up activities.   RequirementsBachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering; Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management role, preferably on capital projects in a petroleum refinery, chemical plant or utilities facility; Demonstrated knowledge of successful Project Management practices; Team player, who fosters cooperation within the team; Safety leader, who will aim for zero incidents; Strong verbal and written communications skills.
