Project Engineer for Alabama Plant
My client is seeking an individual who has experience in project engineering and design of electrical controls systems. Candidate should have experience with a variety of Plc's and Robotic systems including programming skills. Experience should include large projects from $2 million ++. Project management experience required.
BSEE
Minimum of 5 years experience.
General Responsibilities:
Designs, plans, coordinates and administers plant projects which will improve plant performance in the areas of operation, cost reduction, quality, safety, and environmental. Develops and recommends improvements in manufacturing methods, layouts and equipment. Assists in troubleshooting process and equipment problems.
Typical Duties:
· Designs or approves designs by outside personnel for expansions or modifications to existing equipment, facilities, etc., throughout the plant.
· Coordinates construction activity on plant site.
· Participates with Process Engineering, Maintenance, and operational personnel to solve daily problems in areas of I & E, Mechanical, structural and process.
· Obtains and evaluates bids from outside contractors on project implementation and equipment procurement.
· Monitors costs of projects and provides construction management of same.
· Prepares estimates and Return of Investment (ROI) for plant expansion projects and modifications.
· Ensures that all projects comply with OSHA, EPA, and other federal and local regulatory agencies.
· Ensures project designs comply with appropriate construction standards (ASME, NFPA, NEC, etc.).
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering project type engineering work in a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills desirable.
Ability to participate in an intensive team environment.
