Huntsman has an immediate opening for a Production Engineer with a dynamic, growing industry leader in chemical production.


Key Accountabilities:Act as a technical resource for operations (production and maintenance) personnel by applying technical skills to optimize daily plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable production of quality products. Responsible for material balancing of assigned processes to include raw material, product and waste streams. Owns and reports on the asset utilization database. Performs economic studies, environmental release calculations and other process engineering calculations as required. Documents process changes and significant improvements in accordance with the site management of change, and lead the training effort to implement the changes in the operating discipline. Prepare project scopes of work, justification and design process and equipment specifications as necessary.  Follow own projects, typically small, through equipment selection, construction, operator training, startup and post audit to insure proper operation.

 

Educational Requirements & Work History:Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering requiredMinimum of 3 years experience in plant production engineering required 

 

 Special Requirements & Qualifications:Job duties require excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Able to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. Must be thorough, goal oriented and quickly adaptable to new situations.
