Position Description:Provide Process Engineering assistance in support of Refinery goals/objectives. Position will include monitoring and troubleshooting the refining processes. Responsibilities will also include process design, project development, and economics and planning. Experience preferred in FCCU, Delayed Coking, CCR Platforming, High Severity Hydrotreating, and sulfur handling. Must be able to develop and/or maintain heat and material balances around process units and be experienced using Process Simulators and Distributed Control Systems. Operations or Supervisory experience is a plus. Other areas of interest include budgeting, LP development and operation, short/long term yield estimation, crude and product price forecasting, variable expense tracking, backcasting, and yield accounting support.Responsibilities:Provide Technical Support to optimize daily unit operationsChampion optimization of variable operating costs in areas of yields, catalyst/chemicals, and energy.Process Design of small plant modifications.Provide technical assistance for Process Safety Management and Environmental ComplianceSupport Refinery Capital Project development as requiredOther duties as assignedRequirements:B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree requiredDemonstrated ability to independently champion ideas with peers, hourly staff, and managementExcellent communication skillsExcellent trouble-shooting skillsTeam player who is self-starterExperience in Cost/Benefit Analysis preferredProcess and/or Production Engineering Experience in Refinery or large Petrochemical operating environment preferred Experience in Process Safety Management preferredWillingness to work extended hours in support of Refinery turnaroundsWillingness to mentor engineering interns or junior level engineersExperience with Computer software including Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with Computer Modeling Software (i.e. Aspen,Hysis) is a plusDelek Refining, Ltd. offers competitive Medical, Dental and Vision plans to our team members and their families, including flexible spending accounts.
