Process Engineer – Polymer Chemicals Responsibilities: This process engineer is a key player in maintaining the performance of key production processes and is instrumental in the exploratory of methods and systems for improving output and margins and several important responsibilities are below. This position has high visibility and a job done well will lead to additional leadership responsibilities. · Provide oversight of processes and conditions to achieve maximum quality and output, establish standard operating procedures, and revise as appropriate, along with investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues associated with the engineering and processing of the company’s products. · Collect data, analyze the information, and generate sound recommendations and conclusions, while performing root cause analysis on related issues and championing continuous improvement opportunities in the processing areas. · Transfer knowledge of equipment and process through the training and coaching of all levels of employees associated with the production of the products.· Direct and manage the total coordination between engineering and production to maximize the up-time of equipment and highest quality production, in a safe and environmentally sound manner.Requisites· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemical preferred. · 5+ years experience in the chemical processing of polymers, with knowledge of process improvements and the disciplines associated with continuous improvements, and other skills for increasing productivity. · Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, and work effectively in a team environment.· Strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, and manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
