A vibrant, diverse economy insures that Victoria will be well-positioned for dynamic growth.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES•Provide process engineering support to operations and maintenance organizations•Define and implement process upgrades to improve operability and cost effectiveness•Prepare and execute projects that improve safety and operability of the plant•Provide root cause failure analysis of operating problems•Support the design and implementation of capitalSKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED-BS in Chemical Engineering-5+ years work experience in the petroleum and/or chemical processing industry in a plant environment-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Technology (Word, Excel)-Demonstrated leadership skills-Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills-Demonstrated analytical skills-Demonstrated planning & organizational skills-Demonstrated personal motivation & initiative with strong desire to learn-Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment-Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft based PC softwareEXPERIENCE PREFERRED-MS in Chemical Engineering-10+ years work experience in the petroleum and/or chemicalprocessing industry in a plant environmentApplied --ASPEN modeling experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS•Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personnel protective equipment•Must be able to climb stairs in operating unit•Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions for various periods of time•Must be willing to work periodic workdays in excess of 8 hours•Must be willing to relocate to Victoria TexasCompensation/BenefitsCompetitive wages and benefits packages commensurate with experience.
