Overview of Position: Provide process engineering support for capital project development and construction. Develop design basis and front end engineering for minor and major capital projects. Examples include conceptual project development, technology selection, and detailed engineering. Responsibilities also include construction and start-up support. Successful candidate may also be required to mentor and train less experienced process engineers in process design as well as process monitoring and troubleshooting of refinery processes. The position requires collaboration and interpersonal skills necessary to work with operations, maintenance, contract engineering and technical functions within the global refining system.Qualifications: Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Review and approve the engineering contractor’s work product.• Make technical recommendations, answer technical inquiries, and provide technical support for the project team.• Participate in the process design to ensure plant safety, reliability and economics.• Support initial plant commissioning and startup.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree required in Chemical Engineering.• 5 years refining and / or petrochemical Process Engineering experience is required.• Relocation benefits will be considered.• This is a safety sensitive Position.Preferred Qualifications: • Approximately 7 or more years of experience is highly preferred, and applicants with considerably more refinery/process engineering experience are invited to apply.
