Â
The on-site industrial gas plant production technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of oxygen and nitrogen producing plants in a variety of locations. These plants provide low cost, high purity industrial gasses for our customers and are situated on the customer’s site. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who works with limited supervision and is expected to be on-call to service the plants. An exemplary safety performance is a must. The technician must have good mechanical skills and a strong background in instrumentation and electrical control systems. The candidate must be able to perform routine maintenance and calibrations on a variety of process equipment including centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, gas analyzers, electrical control systems, and pneumatic control valves. The technician must be able to comprehend technical manuals in addition to interpreting process and instrumentation prints. In addition, the candidate must be computer literate and have strong interpersonal skills. Other responsibilities include administration duties to support plant operations.  The technician reports to an Area Manager, and is supported with a variety of internal and external technical resources.

Education requirements: Minimum high school degree. Technical education or experience related to job responsibilities is strongly preferred.
