Plant Chemical Engineer (or Mechanical Engineer) – Project & Safety Emphasis

Location: Pittsburgh, PA area

 

Major specialty chemical company needs a plant engineer for its polyester resin producing facility in the Pittsburgh area.  This engineering position requires previous experience in small project engineering and OSHA process safety management.

 

Responsibilities:OSHA PSM (Process safety Management) compliance leadershipProcess Safety Management (PSM) program development, compliance, training, and implementation. The ideal candidate will have experience in auditing the effectiveness of process safety management systems and experience.Capital budget development and project managementEstimation & design + maintenance assistanceTeamwork, communication and problem solving skills

Qualified Candidate:BS Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineer with major chemical plant experience5 – 15 years experienceWorked at a plant that was covered under OSHA/EPA Process Safety Management RegulationsProject Management skills - Can lay out and run multi-year compliance improvement project in Process SafetyFacilitation skills, strong communication skills, team player, self-motivated
