PROJECT MANAGER - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - Petrochemical / Refining / Oil and Gas / Infrastructure
Located in El Segundo, 90245, CA (Los Angeles area of Southern California) The Job: Some IT Project Management working on / juggling a wide range of small to medium size Information Technology projects (ranging from infrastructure to applications and some process automation) Lead, make decisive decisions, and deal with tough problems effectively Good Communication and Organization skills Documentation, facilitation and coordinating projects. Monthly updating of HPPM Mercury PMO project tracking tool Develop agendas and schedule meetings Generate action item logs and follow up on action items Create PowerPoint presentations for management Generate project plans and budgets Qualifications:A person who has a technical working knowledge and has significant hands on installation and design experience in any of the first three areas listed below AND has experience and at least some formal training in project management methodology, ideally using Project Management Institute (PMI) standards: An understanding of how to use MS Project is important but not required IF they have both of the other two requirements:1) Data Center Design and Implementation including experience with: - Working directly with vendors of UPS, HVAC, power distribution, fire suppression systems - Calculating heat loads of computing equipment going into data centers - Calculating power requirements distribution - Designing cabinet layouts - Calculating data center air flows, duct locations and raised floor tile requirements - Installing and maintaining fire suppression systems - Data center environmental monitoring 2) Server Systems Design and Implementation including experience with: - Building racks, installing power distribution and UPS systems in racks - Building and installing servers - Building and installing SANS, backup systems, and server clusters - Familiar with Windows Microsoft operating systems - certification a bonus - Experience racking CISCO network switches and equipment - Experience wiring or designing the wiring of network cables inside and between racks - Server monitoring tools and processes 3) Badge access security systems including experience with - Dealing with badge hardware and software vendors - Using Npower or Lenel software - Badge system components such as badge readers and controllers - Communications from servers running badge software to field controllers - Coordinating the installation fiber optic cable and understanding of technical details of fiber communications - Badge printing is a bonus Additional skills would be valuable including any recent technical experience with: 4) ASP.NET programming 5) Microsoft SQL administration 6) CISCO switch configuration 7) Network design Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
