PRESSURE VESSEL ENGINEER / MECHANICAL ENGINEER - Petrochemical / Refining / Oil and Gas
Proficient in the design, repair, mechanical analysis and inspection of all types of pressurized equipment and tankage for the petrochemical industry. Located in Costa Mesa, 92626 (Orange County, Southern California). The Job: Determines methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and selects the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives Participates in planning and executing maintenance turnarounds Evaluates condition of equipment and specifies repair plans Applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis within a discipline Initial definition and cost estimate of pressurized equipment and tankage Interface and coordination with discipline counterparts, construction, vendors and supply Preparation of vessel and tank calculations Development of quotation packages for new and refurbished equipment Equipment list development and maintenance Able to physically access and assist with equipment inspections confined spaces Assistance with installation and testing and startupQualifications: BS or MS in Engineering with 5+ years experience in the petrochemical industry Site experience in construction support, commissioning, and start-up a plus. Familiarity with related industrial codes including ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel, PV Code, API 510, ANSI, ISO, OSHA Familiar with other related technologies including metallurgy, welding and inspection techniques Proficient in use of pressure vessel and piping software such as Compress and Caesar Extensive experience in Pressure Vessel Heat exchange Performing mechanical calculations, data sheet production, specification writing, bid analysis and vendor coordination Experience with refinery, petrochemical and chemical plant equipment Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
