Requirements:
B.S. ChemE ONLY; 6-15 years of experience with at least of experience supervising 6 or more people, preferably in a union environment.This person has to want a plant management responsibilities in the future because that is the track this position will be on.Ideally this person will be out of a hazardous chemicals or utilities plant.
Job Description:
This site of 75 people makes high purity acetylenic chemicals derived from distilling of pure acetylene. This person will supervise 12 union personnel. This facility supplies 5 chemical plants in Calvert City with steam and waste water treatment. They have boilers and water purification units on site in addition to all of the equipment that is used in the making of the chemicals. This person will be in charge of: steam generation, electricity, waste water treatment, EHS, and security (and general plant and grounds upkeep). The main portion of this engineers' job will be to manage the units, make sure the plant is within EH&S regulations, oversee process improvements, manage project work, and prepare utilities budgets. This company is headquartered in Philadelphia with plants in Florida, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Houston, California, etc. They are a multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 company with a track record of treating employees fairly. This company will provide temporary living, move goods, and pay for realtors` fees and closing costs as part of their relocation package.
