Multiple Openings in Coatings from Director to Chemist!

World Class manufacturer of Industrial Additives for the Coatings, Ink, Adhesive and Metal Working industries located in Northern NJ seeking Top Candidates for the following openings:

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - IFLRESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Day-to-day training and management of IFL Formulation Chemist. Formulation

development, mainly to support new business areas in Industrial Fluids. Some

Metalworking formulation support will be needed, especially during travels of Technical

Director – Metalworking.

 

• Primary responsibility for IFL (non-Metalworking) customer technical support in NAFTA,

support IFL and Metalworking customers in other countries (e.g. Korea, Japan )

 

• Work closely with Metalworking Technical Director – IFL and Metalworking and Director

of R&D as well as sales organization to ensure appropriate prioritization of projects,

follow-up and customer support, as well as constantly improving our technical

capabilities.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

• Minimum BS degree, ideally Masters in Chemistry.

• Minimum 10 years technical experience with a technical company with sales in our

related field.

• Surface science experience (e.g. surfactants, emulsifiers, wetting, dispersing and

defoaming agents, etc.)

• Lab Management experience including organization and leadership skills.

• Customer Relationship Management skills.

• Able to handle conflicts. Capable to sell good and “bad news� (manage both customer

and internal expectations)

• Desire to develop new business and understand the financial relevance of opportunities.

• Ability and willingness to travel in US (4-6 weeks per year) and internationally (1-2 weeks

per year)

 

 

COATINGS CHEMISTS  and Sr. R&D CHEMIST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Must be organized, thorough, curious and highly creative, able to make detailed observations and recommendations from interpretation of lab data results.

 

Must possess excellent computer skills and good math aptitude plus a strong desire to work long-term in a technical environment and establish outstanding customer relations.

 

Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to interact and interface with customers and be willing to travel.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will have experience in the following: Coatings, inks, or paints and surface science / interfacial science in the areas of de-foaming/wetting dispersion, associated technologies and mechanism and mode of action of additives.

 

BS in Chemistry required, MS in Chemistry preferred, with a Minimum of 2-10 years prior experience in a technical capacity.
