Mechanical Engineer

A well established manufacturing company located in Spartanburg, S.C. is looking for a mechanical engineer.  The position will be responsible for successful execution and completion of facility projects including but not limited to process equipment, testing equipment, drying, curing, heating/colling euipment, and chemical dispersion equipment.  Also responsible for diagnosis of current manufacturing machinery, design of machinery for new and improved processes, installation and various production equipment.  Principal duties include cost reduction, machinery upgrades, assistance to maintenance, project management, managing and dealing with suppliers, consultation with management, engineering and other staff, troubleshooting and repairing.

Position reports to plant engineering manager.

Right candidate must have demonstrated leadership qualities in Engineering, primarily mechanical, secondarily electrical.  Must be able to read, analyze, and intrepret common scientific/technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Project.  Must be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or business community.  Must be able to give professional presentations to top level management.  Bachelor's degree or university certificate and two to four years related experience and or training.  Five to ten years experience ideal.
