Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator

The Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator will lead the day-to-day operational activities related to producing Persulfate and /or PAA and Blends in a safe, environmentally compliant, quality compliant, and cost effective manner to ensure that all customer requirements are met. The Manufacturing Coordinator also will champion and lead projects and AFE’s which improve quality, safety, cost, environmental compliance, and process reliability/improvements and support continuous development of operational skills/knowledge within the operating teams. Responsibilities: Responsible for leading daily operations of the assigned product line/process while providing support as needed for the plant in general.  Providing support to the production planner to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging supplies and assist in development of the production schedule. Responsible for overseeing day-to-day control of operating parameters and key performance metrics and coordinating corrections as appropriate. Supports change initiatives around organizational growth, development, and skills. Responsible for supporting individual/team developmental activities to continuously enhance operator skills and foster a working environment to support self directed work teams. Responsible for adherence to ISO standards in all areas of manufacturing, including non-conformance reviews. Responsible for managing, updating and issuing Standard Operating Procedures. Responsible for ensuring work in-process and/or product sampling completed, tested, and verified to meet specifications. Compiles data and prepares department reports. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and FMC Safety, Health, and Environmental Programs, Polices and Procedures.  Responsible for development, improvements, and implementation of safety/operating policies and to ensure all procedures are current.  Support operating teams to maintain/improve safe working conditions and maintaining good housekeeping practices. 

 

Job Requirements:


Experience: • Prior manufacturing experience of at least 5 years, chemical manufacturing preferred • Leadership/supervisor experience preferred • The candidate should have a strong technical background and will integrate this knowledge with the ability to lead others. Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and negotiation skills will be developed in this role.  Perseverance, business acumen, customer focus, and developing teams are essential.  Education: BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physical science If you are talented and possess a drive to achieve, then consider building your career with FMC.
