Maintenance Coordinator - DCP Interface Required Education/ExperienceMinimum of a High School diploma -- AND -- 10 years of related refinery experience managing fast track, high priority refinery maintenance & turnaround jobs. Additional Requirements On call 24 hour/7 day per week on as needed basis. Required to rotate to supervise night shifts on very short notice. Individual must physically be able to climb stairs and ladders, crawl through vessels, towers, exchangers. Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective and comfortable in a team setting where commitment, cooperation, and communication play a crucial role. Fully Knowledgeable or well versed in: Basic Computer Skills using, MS-Office products (Word, Excel), Lotus Notes Isometric & Structural steel drawings. P&ID’s and piping terminology & acronyms Knowledge in these areas a plus: SAP work order management system. Basic Estimating of craft work (fixed equipment, piping, I&E, rotating, civil, insulation, painting) Possess knowledge of applicable HSE rules and procedures. Essential Functions Coordinate, and manage site preparation activities for the Deep Conversion Project (DCP) that the refinery is responsible for. These activities include: underground work, demolition, re-routing of pipe, and asbestos abatement. Coordinate, and manage contractors during commissioning and startup on new units. Act as a liaison between refinery maintenance, capital projects and DCP groups on construction activities. Insure that the jobs selected for the contractors have the parts, materials, permits, and additional craft interfaces needed. Communicate the job information and expectations, including safety and quality expectations, to the contractor and provide auditing on the jobs to monitor performance and quality. Feed back job status and schedule information to the Scheduler and Planner. Maintain a good communication flow with Area Superintendents, Process Supervisors, Maintenance Supervision, and DCP in all of their activities by updating job status during routine, turnaround and project work. Assist the Planner and Scheduler in development of correct work scopes and time estimates for multi-craft and contractor work. Anticipate contingencies, and coordinate all job resource requirements prior to job start. Evaluate options and provide alternate steps to prevent budget or schedule impact while work is in progress. Investigate incidents and initiates follow-ups and corrective action. Enforces rules and procedures in a positive and fair manner.
