Laboratory Technician

Oxane Materials, Inc., a funded advanced ceramics startup company with significant long term potential, seeks highly motivated individuals for the position of Laboratory Technician. 

 

Job Purpose:

Work with a high-quality, results-oriented, friendly team to develop nanostructured advanced energy products.Job Duties:

• Solution preparation.• Conduct experiments designed by Senior Scientist using assorted   lab instruments.• Maintain lab cleanliness.• Maintain logs and record books.• Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data; select    appropriate corrective steps.• Diligently catalog lab procedures and results.

Skills:

• Some knowledge regarding Chemistry and lab processes/   techniques.• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.• Knowledge of how to read a graduated cylinder and scientific    scale.• Knowledge of how to work a pH meter.Key Qualities:• Organized• "Results not reasons"/"make it happen" attitude• Ability to multi-task• strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions• Work well with others/team paced environment.Desirable Qualities:• Strong desire to learn.• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.• Mechanical aptitude.
