We are currently showing a record work backlog, with several major projects on the horizon. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for job-site safety, safety reports and monitoring safety training Supervise field installations, acting as a superintendent or possibly as a working foreman on smaller jobs Track actual productivity of field labour against estimate Plan and schedule manpower, attract craft specific labour, assure on-going project work is staffed accordingly Requisition tools and material to assure smooth job mobilization and execution for various project work Coordinate project execution with Project Management Assist in proposal and estimate preparation, with a keen eye on execution related concerns On occasion help in troubleshooting and field service repair Be able to develop the proficiency in being responsible for overseeing field audits of existing heat tracing and power distribution systems Travel possible, 50% of time COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Have the ability to gain in-depth knowledge of heat tracing technology and understand basic engineering and construction practices Ability to learn on the job, applying gained knowledge to future opportunities Composure – Is cool under pressure, is considered mature, can handle stress, is able to handle difficult labour situations, is a settling influence with a clear conviction in a crisis situation Customer Focus – Is driven to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers Functional/Technical Skills – Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment. Knowledge and fluency in Microsoft Office (ie Word, Excel, etc) Organized – Can marshal resources to get things done; can orchestrate multiple disciplines and activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently Written Communication – Is able to articulate field related issues in written form EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Required:· Trade school or technical degree, emphasis in electrical power distribution a plus · Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) · Electrical background a MUST · Knowledge of Engineering and Construction Industry · Experience in an industrial plant environmentFor immediate consideration, please email your current resume to hr@tracerdindustries.com , or fax to: 713-865-9898, attention: Melissa Williams.
