Head Inventory & Stock Accountant
Growing Pasadena based petrochemical logistics company with multi-terminal locations throughout the United States handling over $1 billion in products seeks individual to head up inventory control and reporting to Management and customers.Â
JOB SUMMARY: Head Inventory & Stock Accountant. Analyze and maintain multiple customer product inventory accounts for multiple terminals and product types. Reconcile recorded inventories to physical inventories within Tanks, Pipeline, Barges and Railcars.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise daily and monthly reporting, to customers and management, of inventory levels and status. Insure accuracy of inventory levels. Prepare reconciliation of book inventory to physical inventory, identification and explanation of variances. Communicate and coordinate with customers regarding product moves and real time inventory levels. Assist with billing and financial reporting. Work with and provide Management with inventory forecasts. Manage two to three data entry clerks.
Requirements & Skills: 2-4 years liquid inventory accounting experience. Bachelor’s Degree, in Business, Finance, Accounting or Math helpful. Exceptional Excel skills, Word and Access. Problem solving skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and be the face and representative of the Company. Understanding of physical product flow, metering devices and integration into accounting and reporting systems. Leadership, dedication, capacity to perform under pressure and strive to grow professionally. Detail orientated with big picture understanding.
