General Manager Merchandise Control
The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company currently has an opening for General Manager Merchandise Control (GMMC) in Beaumont, Texas. The Beaumont plant is part of the North American Tire SBU and is a raw material supplier for our tire plants.
Purpose of Position:
This position will oversee the operations of our warehouse and shipping department including stores and receiving. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of our contract laborer providers covering warehouse/shipping, finishing line production and other functions assigned to our contract labor workforce.
Responsibilities:Oversee warehouse, shipping and stores operationsBeat and/or meet all service metrics as they relate to delivery timeliness, quality and cost measuresEnsure SOX compliance Promote and demonstrate a safe working environmentChampion the development of improved work processes and procedures to enhance productivity of people and equipment leading to improved team performanceProvide leadership to staffDetailed understanding of plant operations and how they impact customer delivery and service
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Science and/or Supply Chain3 – 5 years working in a supply chain support positionAbility to lead/facilitate and inspire teamsCommunicate and present clearly and effectively with people at all levels of the organizationAbility to work within computer systems
