About our client:
Our client is a leading European-based manufacturer of adhesives and compounds used in a variety of industrial, construction, and specialty sealing applications. It is active globally, and has recently established a subsidiary in North Carolina in order to be fully present in one of its key markets. For leading this new organization it is seeking an experienced and talented General Manager.

Position Summary:
Build up and lead the U.S. subsidiary, with main task to expand the company’s North American sales network and marketing activities. Reports directly to the CEO of the parent company in Europe.

Responsibilities:
·        Exercise management responsibility for the U.S. subsidiary, including sales, marketing, logistics and supply chain, human resources, and finances.
·        Develop and expand the company’s sales and marketing activities to further establish the company as the leading brand in its industry.
·        Establish short- and long-term sales targets, with strategies set in line with overall group sales and profitability objectives.
·        Continue to successfully grow the company’s direct sales and distribution system and develop its product portfolio in response to local requirements.
Position qualifications and requirements:
·        Approximately 5 years of demonstrated successful sales management experience, ideally on top of a track record of direct sales and distribution management. Past experience with P&L responsibility for a company or business unit is desirable.
·        Relevant background with adhesives and related products and markets is beneficial but is not required.Â
·        Strong technical skills and understanding.Â
·        Excellent planning, communication, and organizational skills.Â
·        International and intercultural work experience, including ideally German language skills.
