This company introduces the first soft contact lenses and continues to be dedicated to innovation, quality, and craftsmanship.Job Description:Monitor product flow, velocity and yields among other metrics. Set up and troubleshoot equipment. Monitor record and report any unusual problems to Production Supervisor.Work with technical services personnel to integrate new equipment including document review, start-up, troubleshooting, debugging, validation, and training. Coordinate the timely completion of experimental lots through the manufacturing process to insure that project schedules are met.Without direct supervision, work collaboratively with the other Production Technicians in order to equitably divide daily tasks. This self-directed effort and division of labor provide a smooth manufacturing flow. Teamwork concept and application is a necessity. A Technician at this level should have a constant concern for ultimately accommodating the needs of the customer.Assist the Production Supervisor in the training of technicians in the use of work instruction documents, chemical processes, process flow, and instruments in a safe GMP environment. Prepare and offer recommendations to the Buyer/Planner regarding the scheduling and flow of product based on chemical characteristics (i.e. expiry dates), product shipment schedule to annealing vendor etc. Requirements:Performs complex chemical handling, blending, and purification processes, in an OSHA/FDA/ISO/EH&S regulated environment for a medical device company. Multi-tasking capabilities are essential in order to efficiently drive many varied processes simultaneously.Five to ten years medical device manufacturing experience with expertise in chemical operations as in fluid handling systems is preferred. Experience in an ISO and/or GMP/FDA environment and SOP/Batch Record familiarity a plus. HS diploma or equivalent, college course work desirable, Advocate LEAN initiatives (Kanban) and support LEAN concepts (5S) as they apply throughout the organization.Are You Looking To Advance Your Career Path?
