FACILITIES ENGINEER - Project Manager - Refinery / Petrochemical / Petroleum / Refinery / Oil & Gas
Technical position requiring engineering and management of design for facilities and infrastructure related projects. Will include project management from concept to execution and commissioning for all new installations or modifications of on-site facilities. Located in Los Angeles area of Southern California), 90245Job Responsibilities: Project Management will include project design, scheduling, managing time lines, assisting in site management and efficient implementation of project plans. Assists with obtaining required permitting that meets all local and state agency requirements Responsible for site inspections, job walks, building audits and special project work throughout refinery facilities Works with contractors and construction management in obtaining job bids and proposals Develops plans, cost estimates and implements approved solutions that accommodate changing and growing operations and office space needs and requirements Able to develop and work with project teams with little supervision in an informal or formal setting. Individual must be able to work tactfully and professionally with various levels of refinery management Require the ability to climb ladders and perform occasional field work - at times around hazardous systems and equipment, to inspect construction, equipment, systems, and structures Individual must be committed working safety Qualifications: 5+ years of experience, preferably in an industrial or petrochemical environment doing facilities engineering, design and/or project management Familiar with codes and compliance requirements for building construction, electrical, mechanical HVAC and fire systems Knowledge of NFPA, UBC, UMC, NEC & Title 24 codes Working knowledge of Commercial and Industrial construction practices A background in electrical design or engineering Proficient in office and space planning concepts Able to develop and execute project packages from concept to execution to commissioning. Proficient with developing and maintaining project and operating budgets Experience with construction estimating Proficient in MS Office Suite including Project or Primavera scheduling Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints CAD knowledge is a plus A technical degree desirable Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship. TN Visas are acceptable. No relocation is offered for this position.
