Targa Resources, Inc. (Targa) is a leading provider of midstream natural gas and NGL services in the United States. We own and operate approximately 12,090 miles of natural gas and NGL pipelines, with natural gas gathering systems covering approximately 14,400 square miles and 21 natural gas processing plants located primarily in the Permian Basin, Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana regions. Targa is currently seeking a Engineering Manager for the Yscloskey Plant in Yscloskey, LA.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities (specific to the department, location or position)Providing functional group leadership to a team of Facilities Engineers while working closely with the Targa SE Louisiana plant operations group. Providing Facility Engineering support to ensure that plant projects and studies are completed on time and at the lowest costManaging and ensuring all Facilities Engineering projects are designed, evaluated and in compliance with Targa corporate compliance & engineering best practices.Providing leadership for workload management, identification of project resources required, collaboration with other departments.Developing, implementing, and leading a process integration critical to the identification of  Facilities Engineering work flow and collaboration with other teamsWorking as an integral team member with the business development team to provide engineering options for improved/optimized gas plant operationsEvaluating bids for materials/services and awarding contractsConducting proactive project management support



Minimum Essential Qualifications (include physical requirements)

· B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum or Mechanical)

· 10+ years of recent experience in the oil & gas industry (specific to gas sweetening and processing preferred)

· Requires experience with compression facilities, familiarity with gas plant operations and experience in coordinating and supervising EPC work

· Demonstrated proficiency using commercial process simulators (HYSYS, ProMax, etc.)

· Strong communication and project management skills are necessary.

· Supervisory background preferredAble to positively change opinions and actions of others in a desired direction through influence; present information in a persuasive manner, at all levels of the organization; clarify information in order to gain understanding and buy-in



Preferred Qualifications (used as a tool to prioritize candidates that meet minimum qualifications)

· The successful person will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience with Lean Oil Absorbtion and Cryogenic Gas Processing.

· Someone who is an innovative, creative and looking to make an impact in improving a process or system.

· Someone who is a leader who attracts people to want to be a part of their team.
