Electrochemistry Applications Specialist

We are the North American division of world-renowned Metrohm AG (Herisau, Switzerland), an industry leader in laboratory instruments and accessories for analytical testing/research. We are in the process of uniting our Westbury, NY and Houston, TX offices under one brand-new facility in Riverview, Florida, and we are looking for an Electrochemistry Applications Specialist to join our Applications Systems Lab Team. As Electrochemistry Applications Specialist, you will:
· Provide support for the sales team for all electrochemistry and analytical products by recommending methodologies and instrumentation; formulate customer quotations and/or proposals; trouble-shoot hardware and software.
· Provide EC sales and marketing with perspectives on new technologies and applications in the field of electrochemistry, as well as potential markets and customers for such applications
· Analyze customer samples, specializing in Metrohm VA and Eco Chemie instrumentation; optimize methods using existing knowledge and / or research application using published literature and industry contacts
· Advise customers and Sales Representatives regarding instrumentation recommendations for specific applications, programming and automation of EC instrumentation,
· Provide onsite and in-house demonstrations and training for customers or sales representatives, traveling as required.
· Clearly and concisely communicate via written documents the methodology and results of sample analysis, application notes documenting new techniques and applications and technical bulletins

Qualified candidates will possess:
A Bachelors or Associates Degree in Chemistry (or related discipline) from an accredited college or university and four to six years of experience in the field of electrochemistry and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Demonstrated knowledge of Electrochemistry, applications and products.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply advanced concepts including exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, permutations, frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and Word.
