Director of Sales and Marketing

General Responsibilities: 

  Manage Sales Department with a diligent and continued effort to improve the capabilities and skill sets of the Sales Representatives to ultimately grow CES Environmental Services, Inc. business with a direct report to the President. Continually improve technical expertise as part of Skill Development Program to enhance capabilities and understanding of CES Environmental Services, Inc. business and future opportunities. Function as Sales Representative for Key Accounts. Explore and propose new business opportunities and endeavors for CES Environmental Services, Inc. Sell all products produced by CES Environmental Services, Inc. Manage all CES Environmental Services, Inc. Product Customer Relationships. Interact with Operations, Logistics, and Accounting Departments to ensure maximum operational efficiency and profitability. Respect and uphold Company Disciplinary Policy for all CES Environmental Services, Inc. Employees. Follow all Company Policies outlined in Universal Employee Mandates. Understand and comply with relevant items in Standard Operating Procedures Manual and Position Requirements.

 

Specific Responsibilities: 

  Oversee and manage Sales Department. Provide training and coaching to Sales Representatives in an effort to improve Individual Performance as well as Company Wide Performance. Develop and implement Training Programs to improve regulatory understanding of both TCEQ and EPA Rules/Guidelines. Develop and implement Training Programs to improve technical understanding of the various types of equipment utilized by CES Environmental Services, Inc., chemical knowledge and process knowledge. Develop and implement Training Programs to enhance Sales Representatives understanding of current Market Conditions, Competitors, Vendors, Opportunities, etc. Develop and implement Training Programs specifically related to Sales Techniques, Styles, and Strategies. Establish and track Individual Performance Goals for Sales Representatives. Manage all Product Sales in coordination with Product Sales Coordinator. Maximize Product Sales Profits by working with Operations and Product Customers. Manage distribution of unassigned (house) accounts and other accounts as they become available. Hire, train, and manage all new hires within the Sales Department with agreement from the President. Assist Sales Representatives in developing customer proposals, providing technical and regulatory advice, evaluating potential customer opportunities, and evaluating job profitability. Organize other general sales efforts including giveaways, tradeshows, customer functions, etc. Organize and run bi–monthly Sales Meetings. Work with other departments and the Systems Analysis and Quality Control personnel to establish/alter/update position responsibilities and Standard Operating Procedures associated with the Sales and Marketing Department. Perform Sales Duties as described in Sales Representatives Position Responsibilities for several Company Accounts and potential new business opportunities.

 

Qualifications: 

  4 year technical degree (B.S with chemistry included in degree program).

MBA a plus (not a requirement).

5 plus years in the petrochemical industry.

3 plus years of management experience.

Sales experience preferred.

Knowledge of organic and inorganic chemicals.

Efficiency in common computer software preferred (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.).

Understanding of basic OSHA safety requirements for the petrochemical industry.

General Qualities:  high energy, confident, technical and analytical, good interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills, business acumen.
