Director of Discovery

Description:The director is responsible for working with BP litigation attorneys and paralegals on the development, maintenance and governance of all discovery policies and practices for the company in the U. S.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree (computer science or related field preferred)- Strong knowledge of discovery practices and supporting technology and process tools- Strong knowledge of IT Project Management (PMP Certification a plus)- Strong knowledge of requirements for application tool selection and implementation- Knowledge of outsource vendor management practices- Ability to testify on behalf of the company on discovery issues- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including facilitation, matrix management and negotiation- Strong ability to build, influence, lead and motivate others towards practical end results- Strong ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management- Ability to estimate and execute departmental and project budgets- - Minimum 10 years experience supporting legal clients and 5 years managing staff- Experience selecting, implementing and supporting applications and systems- Experience in selecting and managing outsourced vendors- Experience in working with all levels of staff and managementSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Houston, TXJob Number: 1621BRCompany Profile:Our business is the exploration, production, refining, trading and distribution of energy.
