This company is highly regarded within the petroleum industry for its technical leadership in materials & corrosion engineering. Job Description: This job opportunity is for an experienced Corrosion & Materials Engineer with at least 5 years of relevant experience in this field, and at least 10 years of overall refinery experience. The primary purpose is to solve complex corrosion and materials-related issues in the refining complex. This includes technical support and consultation on matters involving materials degradation, coatings, and welding. Primary Responsibilities: Assure that potential materials degradation issues are identified for process and equipment changes. Monitor processing units to identify changes in operating conditions and corrosion degradation mechanisms that affect performance or remaining life of equipment Work proactively with operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel to assure equipment integrity issues are being properly addressed Lead development of equipment strategy development plans for pressure equipment, and consult on corrosion & materials issues within the engineering team Background Requirements: BS or MS degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline 5+ years experience in the corrosion/materials engineering, with 10+ years overall experience in petroleum refining or petrochemical operations Skilled in materials selection, failure modes identification & analysis, development of corrosion management strategies, and analysis of corrosion & process monitoring systems * Please note: All candidates must be legally authorized to work for any U.S. employer (i.e., must be US citizen or US Permanent Resident) To Apply:Click on "Apply by E-Mail" in the column at right, or for immediate consideration Click Here to e-mail your resume.
