Continuous Improvement Leader
My client produces specialty chemicals and ingredients vital in the manufacture of a large variety of products in our modern way of life. This is a unique organization of over 1000 people in multiple facilities working in an innovative, team-based structure that encourages and rewards teamwork, cooperation, quality control and individual participation in improving the way things are done. This world class organization is currently seeking an experienced Change Agent to lead the Continuous Improvement efforts in its Southern Nevada operation. This is a full-time permanent position with a strong compensation package and excellent benefits. The position is located in Henderson, a suburb of Las Vegas. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. Responsibilities Coordinate with plant leaders to generate productivity ideas. Lead productivity effort to generate, review and implement improvement ideas. Track improvement projects, providing updates to plant and division leadership. Track KPI information and drive “ownership” mentality within the organization. Encourage employees to seek change that will increase site viability Train to become a content expert in statistical methods for quality improvement. Requirements 5 years experience leading productivity initiatives (e.g., Six Sigma, QualPro, Lean, etc.). Chemical plant experiences a plus. Demonstrated ability to drive change Deep analytical and troubleshooting skills. Collaborative leadership style (Facilitation expertise highly desirable). Proactive problem-solving approach with a bias for action. Ability to organize and prioritize activity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Education BS – Chemical Engineering or related field Quality Certification desirable (i.e., CQM, Six Sigma Black Belt, et. al.)
