The responsibilities of a Civil Engineer include, but are not limited to:- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard construction engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using solid engineering judgment in making decisions- Performs work involving conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with relatively complex features for which precedents exist- Supervises or coordinates the work of draftsmen, technicians, and other personnel who provide assistance on specific assignments- Remains knowledgeable of requirements for applicable codes and standards on a project- Receives and distributes project design documents, often supervising the field engineering office- Manages the site survey and provides horizontal and vertical control- Assists craftsmen, foreman, and project supervisor with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings- Often performs constructability assignments in the home office- Coordinates system completion and turn-over with regard to start-up activities for assigned systems- Other duties as assignedQualificationsThe preferred candidate should have:- 6-10 years of project experience- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, or equivalent technical project experienceFluor values the contributions of a diverse and inclusive workforce and is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
