Compressors Contracts Engineering Manager

My client's Compressor Business Unit is looking for a Contract Manager to lead a growing team of project managers and document controllers. This manager will support project managers from booking purchase order, through product definition and finally the manufacture of complex API (or similar) compressor packages. Project teams range in size from 4 to 8 people depending on the technical scope. Specific responsibilities include:- Reviewing customer purchase orders to ensure the alignment of technical scope and commercial terms. - Distributing work load as new orders are booked. This includes handling projects during temporary increases in work load. - Coordinating with the operations team during the manufacturing, assembly and testing of compressor packages. - Fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. - Ensuring timely order execution based on project priorities and scheduling. - Defining project manager roles and responsibilities and holding team members accountable for scope, schedule and costs. - Supporting the scheduling of critical engineering, testing and assembly resources. - Working directly with customers as required as projects are completed. - Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required. - PMI training or certification a plus. - Advance degree in management or technical field a plus. - Minimum of 5 years as project manager or equivalent with projects ranging in value from $1,500,000 to $10,000,000. - Experience working with high specification projects (API or equivalent). - Demonstrated skills as an effective communicator. - Demonstrated skills as a team builder in a growing organization. This is a fast growing Business Unit within my client's organization located in Arvada, Colorado. This unit are directly responsible for defining custom compressors packages based on specific applications, creating detailed engineered product definition and also managing the project. The compressor team also supports the sales organization, the operations organization (including procurement, manufacturing, assembly and testing), and aftermarket organization. These custom engineered products are sold into the refining, petrochemical and natural gas processing industries on a global basis.
