Chemist Technical Manager

Responsibilities:·  Manage project selection, alignment of technical objectives and business reviews for a group including two direct reports and up to 15 team members. ·  Co-ordinate projects with Laboratories in Europe, Asia and Latin America .·  Provide design criteria to Resin R&D team.·  Management of resources, budget, capital, recruiting & project assignments.·  Assist in development of strategic technical plans.·  Active participation on Technical Dept problem solving teams.·  Promote a safe work environment by attending daily safety huddles, continually reviewing lab practices and procedures and monitoring equipment utilization/maintenance.·  Participates in sales presentations and other technical customer service activities including travel to customer locations (domestic and international). Qualifications:·  B.S Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field required.  Advanced degree and/or Six-Sigma Green Belt preferred. ·  5-6 years of technical management required.·  Demonstrated record of successful product development. ·  Proven track record of providing leadership, growth opportunities, and performance management of employees. ·  Record of solid working relationships with sales, manufacturing and customers.·  Knowledge of coatings applications and manufacturing processes.·  Knowledge in polymer design & synthesis, acrylics, polyester and/or epoxies.·  Advanced knowledge of modern analytical techniques.·  Ability to think strategically.·  Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.    Please reply using the following email address  resume@chemicaljobs.com   Attach MSWord Resume Include MEF-3958468160 in the subject line Please include 3 professional references with resume.Only replies of the most qualified candidates will be contacted.
