Chemical Operator
CHEMICAL OPERATOR / FILLER
The Elementis Specialties plant in Jersey City, NJ currently has an opening for energetic and skilled Chemical Operator / Filler to join its operations team being responsible for daily production of quality products.
Key Requirements:
2 to 5 years Chemical Operator experience in a batch environment is desired.
Experience with industrial chemical processing equipment such as pumps, mixers/agitators, de-aeration equipment, filtration, vertical and horizontal mills.
Ability to operate powered industrial lifts.
Ability to lift 70 pounds.
Ability to meet accurate weights and measures on a consistent basis.
Must be a reliable, conscientious employee with a desire to improve and learn new roles within the group.
This job requires working in a multi-task environment, on a 5-day single shift schedule in a unionized plant environment. Advancement is consistent with experience and performance within the plant.
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations / requirements, hazardous waste and air / water regulations or requirements a plus.
