Huntsman has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant at the Freeport, Texas facility.
Key AccountabilitiesProvide administrative support to the Plant Manager, the Manager Staff and plant associates as required and assigned. Administers various human resource plans and procedures for plant personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Maintains all personnel records in compliance with federal and state regulations. Performs benefits administration, to include change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees, and conducts new-employee benefits orientations. Conducts and participates in recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel. Maintains compensation and benefits records in ADP and compiles reports as necessary. Contract administrator for all administrative service contracts, approving invoices for payment, over seeing all monthly charges and preparing future administrative budgets. Serve as site Records Retention Coordinator.
Educational Requirements and Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required. College degree desired; equivalent, relevant work experience may be substituted. Prior work experience in a manufacturing facility desired.2 years of experiecne in the fielf of human resources required5 years of experience in office clerical work required
Special Requirements and QualificationsMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work successfully as a team member as well as independently. Must be able to make formal presentations in front of groups. Able to comfortably use a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Access, Power Point, and higher level Excel spreadsheets.
