Our company is a 40 year old chemical manufacturing company located in Philadelphia.  We have unique patented technology that is expected to propel this company to grow within this mature industry.  The position arises because 20% or more annual growth is expected over each of the next 5 years which will create opportunities for advancement as well as provide for an exciting and challenging accountants position.Accountant Jr. to senior level Salary Range $50,000 to $65,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits

Description:WANTED- A qualified Accountant/Jr. to Senior Accountant to work for this mid sized chemical company in Philadelphia with a minimum 3 years accounting experience.

Perform Operations Accounting activities for the Technical Polymers Business: Assist in month-end closing and reporting by preparing the journal entries, explanations and reports as assigned. Assist in preparation of month reporting . Review and update product costing throughout month, including settling variances, production order corrections, etc. Assist in preparation and monitoring of the budgets. Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly. Make necessary correcting journal entries. On a quarterly basis, prepare analysis and submit to CFO for review.

Perform the following activities within the Finance Organization: Assist CFO in monthly accounting close Financial report preparation and analysis: Monthly Corporate Staff Expense Report, Sales Analysis - Price/Volume Analysis/Report, Structural Cost Expense Analysis/Report, Recurring Production Expense Analysis/Report, Quarterly - Supply Chain Metrics Report Provide data collection and/or provide assistance in data collection for ad hoc requests within the corporate staff, i.e. Supply Chain analytics, A/P statistics, R&D new business, internal control testing and auditor requests. Support the administration of the budget process. Prepare the budget consolidations, budget backup information and allocations for G&A, Pension, Insurance and depreciation costs.



Operations and Finance Accounting:

The position interacts with CFO and holding company principals and will help develop certain financial analysis support and analyzes data for Senior Management.Good communication skills are essential to successfully accomplish goals of this split position, while working to support various internal customers.Direct hire position, reviewing resumes now and looking to get this person started ASAP.Email resume to gweber2@tampabay.rr.com
